What are bangs?

Believe it or not, almost every person has bangs. They are simply the hair that hangs in front of your face. If your bangs reach below your chin, if they are above your brows, if they are long and grazing your shoulders, or if they curl wildly above your forehead, they are still bangs.

LEARN 3 TYPES OF RAZOR CUT BANGS FOR ALL HAIR TYPES:

I will take you step-by-step through the process of assessing what looks best on you. I then walk you through the art of giving yourself new bangs or face framing pieces to go with your hair texture and face shape.

In this class, I cut my own hair piece by piece so you can follow along. I then do the exact same cut on my hair model who has completely different hair from me so you can see how it works on everyone.

These classes are meant to be fun and empowering. They are not to replace a hairstylist or a professional service. Instead they are meant to empower you to remove those pieces you know don’t work for you!

DIY BOBS CLASS

YOU’LL LEARN:

  • How to use a razor to cut texture into your hair

  • Different bob lengths as well as techniques to cover different textures

  • My famous face framing side bits I like to call ‘petals’ — the little pieces that hug your cheek bones and give that extra special something.

  • Bonus: How to style your hair effortlessly

In this class, I cut my own hair piece by piece so you can follow along. I also have a wavy haired model with me (shown), so those with waves or curls in their hair can see how the same techniques with a little variation can also give you this iconic shape.

Please note: This class will not include giving yourself bangs. The bangs class is its own thing. If you’d like to cut a bob with bangs, I suggest taking the bangs class which you can find here.
